PRIVACY POLICY

The use of information from Google APIs by either Pogo LT Desktop or Pogo LT Web App will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

New Horizons, a division of Global Health Labs, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, understands the importance of protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the privacy practices of New Horizons and applies to your download, install, or use of the PogoLT email retrieval and aggregation desktop application (“Desktop App”) or web-based application (“Web App”) designed for 30-day temperature records and our associated website (the “Site”). By downloading, accessing, and using the Desktop App, Web App, or the Site, you consent to the policy and to the collection, storage, and disclosure of data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information Collected and Used by New Horizons

“Personal Information” is information that identifies you, which may be transmitted or received when you use the Desktop App, Web app, or Site.

New Horizons collects NO Personal Information from the Desktop App.

Personal Information collected by the Web App is limited to the contents of emails and email attachments which are temporarily downloaded from the Gmail account that the Web App user authorizes for a given email receipt date range. With the exception of the Gmail account email address itself, all downloaded email contents, attachment data, and processed summary report information are deleted permanently by New Horizons within 12 hours of report query completion. New Horizons also collects the email address which the Web App user provides for receipt of summary reports, and will only use this email address for sending summary reports or for sporadic product updates, and users can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on a link included at the bottom of every email.

Personal Information collected on the Site is only the Personal Information provided by you on the Support page in the “Still haven’t found your answer” form, or on the Download page in the “Download Pogo LT” form and will only be used for providing responses to your questions and sporadic email updates regarding App features or documentation and will NOT be shared or used by anyone for any commercial purpose.

Information Collected from Other Sources

As authorized by the you for your selected date range, the Desktop App utilizes the Gmail API to allow read access to download relevant emails (including attachments) from your Gmail account to your local computer for analysis and presentation of summary results. This Gmail data always remains local to your computer and is not transferred to others. The Desktop App will not use any of your Gmail data for any other reason, such as for serving advertisements. The Desktop App will not share any of your Gmail data with any third parties, including New Horizons. information with any third parties. The Desktop App’s use of information received from Gmail APIs will adhere to Google's Limited Use Requirements..

This Gmail data is only downloaded to New Horizons server infrastructure and is not transferred to others. The Web App will not use any of your Gmail data for any other reason, such as for serving advertisements. The Web App will not share any of your Gmail data with any third parties without expressed written consent. With the exception of the Gmail account email address itself, all downloaded email contents, attachment data, and processed summary report information are deleted permanently by New Horizons within 12 hours of report query completion. The Web App’s use of information received from Gmail APIs will adhere to Google's Limited Use Requirements.

Protection of Children’s Personal Information

The Site, the Desktop App, and the Web App are for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not intentionally or knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If New Horizons learns that Personal Information of persons less than 13 years-of-age has been collected on the Site, New Horizons will take the appropriate steps to delete this information.

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement

New Horizons reserves the right to share your information with third parties if we believe such action is necessary in order to: (1) conform with the requirements of the law or to comply with legal process served upon us; (2) protect or defend our legal rights or property (3) investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person or violations of the terms and conditions of using the Desktop App, the Web App, or Site.

Vulnerability Disclosure Policy

New Horizons is committed to identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in our systems and services, to best protect user data. We welcome disclosures of possible vulnerabilities that are independently identified in the Pogo LT Desktop and/or Web Applications.

As long as you act in good faith and abide by the guidelines outlined in this policy as well as in the license agreement found at https://pogo-lt.org/terms, New Horizons will not pursue or support any legal action related to your vulnerability research.

If you would like to report a potential vulnerability that you have identified, or a suspected data breach, please send us an email at pogo-lt-security@nhgh.org, including all relevant details. We will use reasonable efforts to investigate and provide an initial response to your vulnerability report within five business days.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

New Horizons reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, update, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy. We will post any changes to this Policy on this page so you can readily review the most current version. We encourage you to periodically review this Privacy Policy to stay informed about how New Horizons is helping to protect the personal information we collect
